After a closure of three and a half years for natural regeneration and restoration by Thailand’s National Parks Department the world famous Maya Bay is now set to be re-opened to visitors on 1st January 2022.

The re-opening to visitors does come with some restrictions on visiting times, maximum number of visitors per hour through out the day and tour boat access.

Arriving at Maya Bay will no longer be directly to the beach but via a specially constructed floating boat jetty and walkway in Lohsamah Bay.

Krabi Boat Rental is ready to take you to the newly restored Maya Bay where you will enjoy this special place without the large crowds which were common previously.

Private Speedboat Tours from Ao Nang to the Phi Phi Islands

Maya Bay was one of the the most popular destinations for people visiting the Phi Phi Islands. It is a dramatically beautiful bay mostly enclosed by high karst walls and backed by a beach of soft coral sand.

Always a popular location then made world famous when it was used as a location in the film The Beach, released in 2000.
